These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Khaleeji's car rental services, accessible at khaleeji.online, and any related rental agreement you enter into with us. By submitting a reservation request or renting a vehicle from Khaleeji, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
1. Eligibility
To rent a vehicle from Khaleeji, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age at the time of rental. Renters under 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge.
- Hold a valid driving licence — Saudi, GCC, or an internationally recognised licence — that has been valid for a minimum of one year.
- Possess a valid national identity card or passport.
- Present a valid credit or debit card in your name for the security deposit.
- Not be under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or any impairing substance.
2. Booking Terms
All reservations are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation by Khaleeji. A reservation request submitted via our website does not constitute a binding contract until confirmed in writing (email or WhatsApp) by our team.
- A security deposit is required at the time of vehicle handover. The amount varies depending on the vehicle tier.
- Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Last-minute bookings are subject to availability.
- Quoted rental rates are in Saudi Riyals (SAR) and are inclusive of standard insurance unless otherwise stated.
- Khaleeji reserves the right to refuse any reservation at our discretion.
3. Renter Responsibilities
As a renter, you are solely responsible for:
- Returning the vehicle in the same condition as received, with no additional damage.
- Ensuring the vehicle is not driven by any person not listed on the rental agreement.
- Adhering to all traffic laws, speed limits, and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Notifying Khaleeji immediately in the event of an accident, theft, or mechanical failure.
- Any traffic fines, tolls, or parking violations incurred during the rental period.
- Any fuel consumed during the rental — vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at delivery.
4. Payment Terms
Rental payments are due as follows:
- The full rental amount for the agreed period is due upon vehicle delivery or as agreed in writing with our team.
- A refundable security deposit — ranging from 2,000 SAR to 10,000 SAR depending on the vehicle — is held at the start of the rental and returned upon satisfactory vehicle inspection after return.
- Additional charges may apply for late returns, fuel deficits, damage, cleaning fees, or excess mileage beyond the agreed limit.
- Accepted payment methods include major credit/debit cards and approved bank transfers.
5. Prohibited Use
The rented vehicle must NOT be used for any of the following:
- Off-road driving or use on unpaved surfaces, unless an off-road vehicle is specifically rented for such use.
- Commercial transportation of passengers (e.g., taxi, ride-sharing services).
- Transporting hazardous, illegal, or prohibited materials.
- Racing, speed tests, or any competitive driving events.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Crossing international borders without prior written approval from Khaleeji.
- Subletting the vehicle to a third party.
Violation of any of the above may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement, full forfeiture of the security deposit, and potential legal action.
6. Vehicle Return Conditions
The vehicle must be returned:
- On the agreed return date and time. Late returns are charged at the daily rate pro-rated per hour.
- To the agreed return location or by prior arrangement with our team.
- In a clean condition, free of excessive dirt or debris inside and outside. A cleaning fee of up to 500 SAR may be charged for vehicles returned in unsatisfactory condition.
- With all original keys, documents, and accessories provided at handover.
7. Damage & Liability
In the event of damage to the vehicle:
- The renter is liable for all damage caused during the rental period, whether resulting from collision, negligence, vandalism, or misuse.
- Standard rental includes third-party liability insurance as required by Saudi law. Comprehensive coverage may be available at an additional fee.
- Any damage not covered by insurance will be charged against the security deposit, with remaining costs invoiced to the renter.
- Khaleeji is not responsible for any personal belongings left in the vehicle.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Khaleeji shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our vehicles or services. Our total liability in any event shall not exceed the amount paid by the renter for the relevant rental period.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or any rental agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
10. Amendments
Khaleeji reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on khaleeji.online and will be effective immediately upon publication. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
